Pope Leo XIV seems to be giving some a lot of optimism. He's going to be more "by the book" than Pope Francis, and that will give the Church time to heal in many ways. He can help restore a lot of those rifts with some very basic gestures right from the start.

And I'm optimistic simply by seeing the Templars association serve more & more at the Vatican this Jubilee year.

I agree. Pope Francis brought a lot to the table, but I think he in advertently also brought some confusion. Not to me, and others who really know their faith, but to people who don’t know it very well or weren’t well criticized. I think Leo will bring a pastoral heart to the papacy, as Francis did, connectable theology as Francis did, but with more precision and perhaps a directness and clarity that I feel pope Francis often lacked.

Like his predecessor, pope Leo won’t be perfect, and there will be some flaws or shortcomings. But when we accept that that is simply the human condition, that perfection does not exist on earth, and that the things that need to be perfectly solid will be solid, we can accept this shortcomings with patience and at peace.
