I was born in the 1980s into the conciliar sect. It is not the Catholic Church but a new religion dedicated by Paul VI to the service of the United Nations.
The conciliar sect teaches doctrines such as false ecumenism and false religious liberty that have already been infallibly condemned by the Catholic Church.
It has a new liturgical rite that no longer expresses the Catholic faith but a protestant one. The Roman Rite has new sacramental rites that with the exception of baptism and holy matrimony don’t meet Pius XII’s criteria for validity and are therefore doubtful. In Catholic practice doubtful sacraments must be considered invalid. https://www.wmreview.org/p/valid-sacraments?
Its new rites are not from the Church and the doubtful ones have no supernatural power. Exorcists have had to revert to the traditional rites because the new rites of exorcism have no efficacy. This religion has been an abject failure from its inception.
If you want to understand the crisis I recommend visiting https://crisisinthechurch.com and watching the long form interviews between Louie Verrechio and John Lane. Louie used to be a very popular proponent of JPII’s theology until God gave him the grace to figure out the root of the crisis.
You were born in the 80s and yet have context enough to know that this is a “new religion”?
which YouTuber convinced you?
You should renounce your schismatic attitude and go to confession right away. The devil is using you to divide the church. You can foolishly blow that off, or you can pause to take it seriously and reconsider your position for the sake of Christ, His church, and your own soul. Stop taking a lash to the mystical body of Jesus Christ.
If you ask anyone who lived through the changes they’ll tell you they “changed the religion.”
You only need to look back at what came before and what was taught after that it is a new religion already condemned by the Church. Indeed the some of the key players in the Vatican II council will explicitly say it is a rejection of what came before and current presbyters who grew up in the old traditions talk about the new Church vs the old.
There has been a schism, but it was Paul IV’s. Unfortunately most people followed him even though he publicly rejected infallible Church teaching on ecumenism and religious liberty.
That he put the Church at the service of the UN is publicly documented in his televised speech. You can read about it in Fr Villa’s book linked above.
There’s a reason why St John tells the Church in our time to hold onto tradition. The conciliar sect is the expression of modernist heresy infallibly condemned by Pope St Pius X and though it parasitically clings to the physical structures of the Church it rejects her traditions.
I didn’t learn any of this off youtube. I read all the documents and checked through all the evidence and references. I explored the crisis for a long time and wasn’t afraid to change my position based upon what the Church teaches about herself.
If you believe Christ’s Church on earth can approve of the mortal sins approved of by the conciliar sect like communion for the divorced and remarried or blessings for same-sex couples then you don’t really believe in the holy Catholic Church whose secondary infallibility ensures that its teaching is always infallibly safe to follow.
Only those who are members of the Church are part of Christ’s mystical body and a condition of this is public profession of the Catholic Faith. Modernists don’t publicly profess the Catholic faith but a new religion. They aren’t part of the mystical body of Christ.
That public heretics could overrun most of the visible Church isn’t unprecedented as it happened during the Arian Crisis, though the external political forces responsible for that were more conspicuous.
I’m not saying that you aren’t part of the mystical body because clearly you don’t know that you’re in a different religion but if you want to save your soul you should start learning what came before Vatican II.
You’re the “Catholic Adventurer.” Well here’s an adventure for you if you’re game enough to learn what the Church teaches about herself. It is her infallible teaching you’ll be learning from 🥰
You might start with St Pope Pius X’s encyclical condemning the modernists so you can understand how they work:
If I ask someone who lived through the changes and they tell me that they change the religion, I guarantee you they are not theologians, and they never spent more than 15 minutes of research on any of the criticisms that they issue
The reason I’m particularly well-versed in this subject is because Sede Vacabtists very nearly had me convinced about 25 years ago. I decided to do my own research about their claims because things they were saying were not adding up. Over about a year of fairly intense research I concluded that the Sedes were liars and deceivers.
Today most – not all – of the arguments I hear from traditionalists are identical to what the Sedes were telling me 25 years ago.
Everything you’re saying was pre-written for you decades ago. None of it is new, and none of it can be defended on the basis of fact (not perception, but FACTS). You are giving voice to someone else’s lie whether you know it or not having heard all of these things 1000 times before, having debated over them dozens and dozens of times, having nearly been conned away from the church by people saying all of these same things 25 years ago, I can tell you with informed authority and total confidence that you are giving voice to someone else’s lies and are an accomplice in a sophisticated con that finds its genesis in the mind of the diabolic enemy.
Think very carefully before you go further because if you are judged on this when you stand before Jesus, you will at this point not to be able to claim ignorance
I will pray for your soul. If you cannot see that a religion that blesses same-sex relationships isn’t the same religion as that taught by Christ then there is nothing I can do for you. Indeed the only people not welcome in this religion are Catholics.
The Catholics I know follow the teachings of the Church on herself and don’t go any further than this. They are well educated and respected to the point that they are regular contributors to and asked to engage in written debates on lifesitenews.
If you were almost conned by heretical groups like Most Holy Family Monastery (Feeneyites) then I’m glad you weren’t conned. However they are just one group.
I don’t call myself a traditionalist because I am just a Catholic. Modernism isn’t Catholic and the Conciliar/Synodal Church it founded which is failing isn’t Catholic either.
Blessing individuals (in any relationship; but not the relationship itself) has always been allowed. That's not new. You're parroting a secular interpretation of the Church's guidelines. That makes you ignorant (in which case I don't see how you're qualified to make the theologically dense claims you're making about the Church/Council) or it makes you a liar—knowing the truth, but saying something else.
Pray also for the souls of those whom you corrupt and take away from the Church by your deception or ignorance and manipulation of their minds and hearts. Folks like you nearly snagged me 25 years ago. I know very well the harm and damage you cause, either by inexcusable ignorance, or by gross deception. Every day, for at least a decade, I hear from people who were harmed by radicalism. You have turned them off to the Church, and to God, and the healing process takes years. Think hard about what you're doing because you'll be held to account for it. God be with you.
great read 🙌🏼 im finding my journey back in Catholicism again. i did my confirmation and communion. but up until my 30s i didn't see much purpose in being reverent for it. i still struggle with the bad thats been brought on the Church's name in the media. but im finding myself more devoted to it's teaching again. i like how traditional catholicism is and its community. i'm still learning and enjoying my journey again.
Thanks, Gabriel! I'm glad you enjoyed this. And welcome home! You will be learning for as long as you're alive. That's one of the great things about this Catholic adventure...it's a constant discovery, and it's like a party that never ends. It's not without its trials though. The ups and downs of living a Catholic life are all normal, and all part of the adventure. So when the "downs" strike, don't be shaken by them; they're temporary. If you ever have any questions, feel free to reach out. I hope you're subscribed so you can participate in the chats. I'm about to start a new thread/topic now actually.
I’m very sorry about my reaction. Mine was the bigger sin. You were only trying to be constructive. People have done this a lot in the past, on other platforms, so now I’m sensitive to it. My issue, not yours. Forgive me thanks for checking it out brother. God be with you
My goodness, that means so much to me! I'm very hard on myself, I don't know what the value of my writing is lol. Thank you so much for saying that, and thanks for dropping a comment. God bless and be with you
