You are very correct. In all the Bible, there were only 15...(Drops a stone tablet) 10, 10 commandments that were passed down from the burning bush to Moses.

I am the LORD your God: you shall not have strange Gods before me.

You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.

Remember to keep holy the LORD'S Day.

Honor your father and your mother.

You shall not kill.

You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.

You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

I think it should be nine commandments, for the first one is more of a "Hey, I'm your god, don't worship anyone but me."

The rest of the "laws" were rabbinical in nature and made up by the priests, sort of like the "If a man falls from the barn and accidentally inserts his penis into a woman." type of stuff.
